Largest flowering strip in the world with wildflowers

Munich. Under the nature sponsorship of the Dachau Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, what is possibly the world's largest flowering strip has been created over an area of more than 58,000 square meters, featuring more than 27 bee lovebirds, wildflowers and wild herbs and additions of wild sage, wild chamomile, etc. Anyone passing by this field will be amazed. Anyone passing by this field will never cease to be amazed. Most people have probably never experienced such a splendor of flowers accompanied by the incredibly intense scent of wild herbs and berries in their entire lives. Such intensive smells of wild herbs accompanied by thousands of buzzing insects one knows at most as a wanderer of the wild and original Macchia of Corsica or Sardinia. On German monocultures one looks for this diversity of species and the joy of the variety of sensory impressions in any case mostly in vain.

The German startup GEOXIP AG has set its sights on the return of nature and true sustainability with GPS-supported high-tech. Companies can book agricultural land and have their logo grown with real wildflowers in the process. For farmers, this not only brings an extremely fair additional income, but also attentiveness and appreciation. And: Farmers/inside can do here once on fertilizers, liquid manure and insecticides completely without. Companies, in turn, can present themselves in a sustainable manner, improve their carbon footprint, meet EU CSR reporting requirements, and use advertising budgets for truly green advertising. Close to the customer. And directly from the producer. Win win for all. Above all, a model that gives nature real value and therefore promotes it.

The field advertising of the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Dachau exceeds several superlatives:

Flowering strips of superlatives

The logo of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken consists of wildflower mixtures in organic cultivation in the foreground as well as in the background. It covers a total of over 5.8 ha, or more than 58,000 square meters, and has provided insect food even in winter.

"If the area of 58,000 square meters is once converted to the usual width of a flowering strip of 3 m, the length of the flowering strip would be over 19.3 (!) kilometers.

Over 27 species of flowers, wildflowers and wild herbs

Normal flower strips "must" be created because they are prescribed by the EU. Of course, this is always about money. What is prescribed and what is standard is done. Thanks to the nature sponsorship, the price for the wildflower mixture in favor of nature only played a minor role in this project. The special admixture of real wild herbs and rarities for insects made the seed here more than 10 times more expensive to purchase. But the result is spectacular and unique worldwide. In terms of flowering strips, a world record for nature has probably been set up here in Vierkirchen in Munich's flight path.

What from below is an XXL flowering strip, from the air is a blooming company logo and of course also brings a lot of green storytelling. People talk about it, share it, click on it and discuss it. Nature doesn't care in what form it is allowed to bloom. The main thing is that it is allowed to bloom like this for once. And healthier hay can only be found on a remote alpine meadow. Nothing is lost here. Quite the opposite: thanks to such a nature sponsorship, it becomes possible to grow in between what otherwise could hardly be grown in this way, if only because of the high price pressure in agriculture.

This way, everyone wins: Nature. The nature sponsor and, of course, the farmer.

Field advertising: 80,000 bees. Thousands of butterflies.

Several bee colonies buzz around in the colorful flower field and find plenty of food here. In addition to bees, you can also find rare species of insects and a variety of butterflies that are specialized on very specific plants.
